A tour of the Winchester Mystery House is perfect for School, Church, Senior, Scout, Parks and Recreation, and Fraternal Group Outings- even Birthday Parties. Private Group Tours with reserved tour times, special Group Lunch Menus, and the Group Picnic Gardens are all available for prearranged groups of 15 or more. We offer discounted admission for groups, with at least 15 people, that book a reservation 10 days or more prior to their visit, and leave a small deposit. Reservations can be made as far in advance as you wish. These groups receive a private tour at a scheduled time. Contact the Group Sales Department for a quote on Group Rates.
Fun and educational materials are available for teachers. Chester at the Winchester House, is an in-class lesson plan packet available for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The "History Mouse" garden activity sheet continues the learning during a class field trip to Winchester Mystery House.
Winchester Mystery House offers ongoing special promotions for scouting troops, Masonic youth, and recreation organizations. Please ask our Group Sales Representative for details on any current programs.
Special rates are offered for groups who's participants are age 65 and up. Touring Winchester Mystery House requires only a moderate activity level. Frequent room-stops and Mrs. Winchester's special "easy riser" stairs make the tour enjoyable for everyone. Please ask for Senior Group Rates when you call.
When possible, and with sufficient notice, special parking arrangements can be made for auto and motorcycle clubs to display their vehicles during their visit.
Two types of catering are available from Winchester Mystery House. Our on-site cafe can provide a sandwich or pizza lunch for any group of 15 or more. Or, for our groups of 25 or more, our off-site caterer can prepare meals as relaxed as a self-served BBQ or as formal as a table-served delicacy on china.
We are pleased to offer 3 packages of birthday fun to go along with a tour on your child's special day. For birthdays, the group minimum is lowered to 10, and the group is taken to a special hosted party location after the tour. We have great parties for all ages: Younger birthday boys and girls become the "Honorary Tour Guide" during the tour, complete with a special pin and certificate. Teenagers are thrilled to have a private tour just to themselves, and are taken by the mystery and oddity of the Mansion.
Whether it's an off-site meeting with A/V needs, or a break from office stress with a fun department outing, Winchester Mystery House can provide what your company needs. The Winchester Room, a banquet/meeting room made within the structure of one of Mrs. Winchester's original barns, can accommodate seating for up to 65 people. Our exclusive "Photo Scavenger Hunt" package is a perfect way to roll a teambuilding activity into the Mansion Tour.
Arrange for your company, convention group, or organization to have the whole estate to yourselves! Private dinners, receptions, murder mystery parties, or even Flashlight Tours* are among the options available. Indoor events for up to 65 are held in the Winchester Room. Larger groups well into the hundreds may use our beautiful garden locations during the fair-weather months.
Private Flashlight Tours are available either with a catered event, or as a stand-alone. The minimum group size to conduct a "Flashlight Tour only" event is 100.
Winchester Mystery House also conducts Public Flashlight Tour events on every Friday the 13th and several nights around Halloween. Groups of 15 or more may purchase these tickets through the Group Sales Office at (408) 247-2000. Tickets are also available with no minimum at the Winchester Mystery House Box Office, or online at www.tickets.com. Please be sure to purchase your Public Flashlight Tour tickets several weeks in advance of the tour, as they do sell out!
