In 1884, Mrs. Winchester left New Haven, Connecticut, and the graves of her husband and only child, only to begin the obsession that was to last for the rest of her life.

The “Gun that Won the West” is the main attraction in the Firearms Museum, one of the largest Winchester Rifle collections on the West Coast. Admission is free!

Today, visitors can wander on the original garden paths designed by Mrs. Winchester for viewing the extensive plantings, fountains and outlying buildings.
