The Winchester Mystery House® offers space for everything from an intimate dinner for 12 to an estate buy out for 500. Each room is unique with a story all it’s own. All facility rental rates include set up and clean up, 4 hours of rental, tables and chairs and the option to include a private group tour of the Mansion.
The Carriage House
Located on the south side of the Winchester Estate™, the Carriage House is one of the Bay Area’s most unique venues with floor-to-ceiling original redwood and vintage, rustic charm. The large doors of the room open into the Central Gardens and the room is dotted with vintage lights. Originally used as the storage and maintenance area for Sarah’s carriages, it later transitioned to the estate’s only garage for Sarah’s fleet of automobiles. Today, it is used to host everything from business meetings to wedding receptions.

The Shakespeare Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom in the Winchester Mystery House® speaks more to the elegance of the room than the size. The ornate and elegant Grand Ballroom, complete with antique pump organ and stunning hand-carved woodwork is the ideal setting for an unforgettable special occasion. Lending to the ballroom’s mystique are two beautiful stained glass windows that hold cryptic quotes penned by William Shakespeare. Only available after regular operating hours.

Victorian Gardens
Under golden California sunshine and with the magnificent Queen Anne style Victorian mansion as a backdrop, surrounded by lush gardens filled with a variety of fountains, blooming flowers, stately palms and trees imported from around the world, it’s the perfect setting for your event. The world-famous mansion is the perfect backdrop for your “landmark” day or evening event.

The Winchester Room
Once an original barn on the north field of the estate, the Winchester Room offers a private party space for up to 65-seated guests. Complete with available Wi-Fi, audio-visual capabilities, tables and chairs, heat and air-conditioning. This is the perfect space for a meeting – followed by a private tour.

South Dining Room
The South Dining Room was renovated in 2017, and is an exclusive venue space at the Winchester Estate. Wether booking separately, or in a package with the North Dining Room, this event space will be a beautiful setting for your next party or dinner. Only available after regular operating hours.
- Accommodates up to 12 seated guests
- Can be booked separately, or together with the North Dining Room.
- Twin Dining Room package accommodates up to 24 seated
Newly Renovated: North Dining Room
Left unfinished after being damaged in the 1906 earthquake, the newly renovated North Dining Room s the most exclusive and beautiful room available for booking. Wether booking separately, or in a package with the South Dining Room, this exquisite event space will give your guests an unforgettable experience. Only available after regular operating hours.
